Working as Clapper Loader on a short film AIM HIGH this week shooting on ALEXA. This is a little shot Gaffer Damien Seagar took just before the heavens opened up.

Port Kembla

Here are a few shots I have played around with in Lightroom.

Film

So I got to play around with an Aaton 35-3 the other day and got to thinking why is digital being pushed so much in the film and photography industry. I am aware of the cost of shooting film, but what ever happened to quality over quantity. I work in a rental house and this is the second time someone had rented out one of our film cameras in the one and a half years I have worked there.

I made a decision I will shoot a short film or music video on film one day and really try to preserve film and it's great quality.

Process, Proof and Scan

I have just recently finished the Process, Proof and Scan course at the ACP. This has been my first experience with processing my own film and have learnt a lot in a short space of time. My tutor Michael was awesome and always willing to pass on his knowledge even when I would bump into him outside of class time. I would strongly recommend applying for this course if you are interested in film photography.

Here are three shots that I am pretty happy with. All are Tri-X 400 processed in Rodinal 1:50.

Proofed three rolls today at the ACP. Some good results. Images to come next week. Smiley face.

Morning Bliss

Up early shooting the sunrise. Winter mornings in Sydney are beautiful.

Shot two rolls off this morning. One roll of Ilford HP5 400 B+W, and a roll of Kodak C-41 160 VC.

A WHARF AT NIGHT

Here is a little ol shot I took on the weekend.

It is the first shot I have had a little play around with in LIGHTROOM. I shot it on my Canon EOS 7D with a Canon 28mm f2.8 prime lens.

I like the shadow the rail is casting on the wharf and the colour of the water and sky.

I have just started the PROCESS, PROOF and SCAN course at the ACP so will have some shots that I have developed myself in the not too distant future. YAY!
